BAKER CITY — The Oregon Community Foundation is sending $22,000 to for projects in Baker County to two organizations in their latest round of grant funding. According to an informational release, โOregon Community Foundation is awarding $5.1 million through its Community Grants program to organizations working to expand access to education, health services, economic opportunity, arts and culture and more. Grants awarded in rural towns and urban neighborhoods reflect OCFโs commitment to strengthening communities and tackling urgent needs.โ
In Baker County, the Northeast Oregon Compassion Center has been selected to receive $12,000 to support a part-time food bank manager. Also, Dementia Friendly Baker County is set to receive $10,000 that will support community outreach programs.
The Oregon Community Foundation stated, โThe 2025 Fall Cycle prioritized small capital projects (under $500,000), capacity building and new or expanding programs and projects.โ In total, OCF awarded $5.1 million in this round of grant funding.
