Oregon Circuit Courts announce upcoming limited operations and statewide closure

BURNS-The Oregon Judicial Department has issued a schedule of upcoming operational changes affecting local and statewide court services, including temporary window closures in Grant and Harney counties, as well as a full statewide closure for employee training.

Members of the public and individuals with scheduled court appearances are advised to note the following dates and adjusted hours.

Schedule of Affected Operations

1. Grant County Circuit Court — Friday, August 14, 2026

  • Public Service Window: Closed from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
  • Arraignments: Rescheduled for 11:00 a.m.
  • Urgent Inquiries: Court staff can be reached by phone at 541-575-1438.
  • Resumption: Regular office hours resume Monday, August 17, at 8:00 a.m.

2. Harney County Circuit Court — Friday, September 11, 2026

  • Public Service Window: Closed from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
  • Arraignments: 1:00 p.m. proceedings will be conducted remotely.
  • Urgent Inquiries: Court staff can be reached by phone at 541-573-5207.
  • Resumption: Regular office hours resume Monday, September 14, at 8:00 a.m.

3. Statewide Circuit Court Closure — Wednesday, October 21, 2026

  • Scope: All Oregon Circuit Courts statewide will be closed all day for mandatory staff training.
  • Resumption: Regular operations resume across all locations on Thursday, October 22, at 8:00 a.m.
