Open house at Lincoln School

HARNEY COUNTY-Harney County was awarded a US Environmental Protection Agency Brownfield Cleanup Grant in November of 2023. The County used funds from the grant to address hazardous building materials and decommission an aboveground heating oil tank in the former Lincoln School. The purpose of the cleanup was to prepare the site for reuse.

The county is inviting the community to share your ideas for the potential reuse of the former school building and property. Please join the county for an open house on June 18, 2026 from 5:00pm until 8:00pm to learn more about the Lincoln School Cleanup Project. Tour the building, ask questions and discuss potential opportunities for reuse of the former school building.
