Open fires allowed at Morgan Lake

LA GRANDE – The City of La Grande announced that open fires within established metal fire rings will be allowed at Morgan Lake starting Friday, October 1, 2021. Due to the increased precipitation, fall temperatures, the City will follow the Oregon Department of Forestry’s recommendation to allow open fires inside the park within established metal fire rings.
Morgan Lake will remain open until October 31st when it is closed for the season.
