ONTARIO — Folks in Ontario looking to improve communication between the city and the public have a unique opportunity. There are currently three openings on the City of Ontario’s Diversity Advisory Committee.
According to the city’s website, the committee “…provides a means of intentional communication between the community’s diverse cultures and communities with the City’s elected and appointed officials. The Committee provides listening ears for the City’s diverse cultures and socioeconomic circumstances. This will assist in the development of a stronger community that is respectful of all nationalities, races, genders, ethnic groups, ages, and socioeconomic classes and cultures.”
People wishing to join the Diversity Advisory Committee can do so within the committee’s web page at www.ontariooregon.org.
Committee meetings are held every third Wednesday beginning at 5:30 p.m. in the Ontario City Hall Council Chambers (2nd Floor).
