Ontario School District hands out 5-day meal boxes for local youth

ONTARIO — Youth in Malheur County are staying fed thanks to the efforts of Ontario School District 8C’s Summer Meal Box Days. Beginning July 8th, the Ontario School District offers weekly 5-day meal boxes to local youth that get picked up each Wednesday.
Following their July 15th distribution day, Ontario School District 8C Nutrition Services reports, “…our incredible team worked hard to prepare and distribute meal boxes that help keep kids fueled all summer long.”
The pick-up location is at Ontario High School, and the next Summer Meal Box Day will be Wednesday, July 22nd from 10:30 a.m.- 12:30 p.m.
