Ontario Fire’s burn cell improved thanks to Randy Carpenter Foundation

ONTARIO — Grant funding has been received by Ontario Fire and Rescue to improve the station’s burn cell for training. OFR reports they received monies from the Randy Carpenter Memorial Foundation to help purchase a Temperature Monitoring System for the burn cell.

OFR staff stated, “This piece of equipment will make a big difference for our firefighters. During live fire training, this system will let us monitor temperatures inside helping keep our crews safe while they train.”

Training matters. Safety matters. And this will help us continue building a stronger training program for our department and the surrounding region, so we can better support the communities we serve.”
