WALLA WALLA COUNTY – A three vehicle crash, including one semi-truck, resulted in one person being hospitalized Tuesday.
According to Washington State Patrol at 9:52 a.m. a Honda Accord and a semi-truck were stopped for traffic on State Route 124 at Lyons Ferry Road eight miles west of Prescott. A Volkswagen Jetta, also traveling eastbound, struck the Accord hard enough to push it forward into the semi-truck.
The driver of the Accord was transported to Providence St. Mary Medical Center in Walla Walla, while a passenger in the vehicle was not injured.
The cause of the incident was the driver of the Jetta, Braylen Bromiley, 24, of Dayton, falling asleep. Bromiley was not injured and was charged with second degree negligent driving.
The driver of the semi-truck was not injured. The Accord and Jetta were both totaled and had to be towed from the scene. The semi-truck had reportable damage but was able to drive
