One dead in wrong-way collision on SR-240

RICHLAND, Washington – A Kennewick man traveling the wrong way on State Route 240 Thursday night is dead after striking another vehicle head on.

The Washington State Patrol reports the accident happened on eastbound SR-240 at milepost 33.9 near Duportail Road at 9:16 p.m.

Troopers said Ron C. Lusk, 60, of Kennewick was traveling westbound when he struck a second car, with two adults and two minors ages 15 and 10, traveling eastbound. All four in the second vehicle were injured and transported to Trios Southridge Hospital. No further details on those injured were released.

Lusk was pronounced deceased at Kadlec Regional Medical Center.
