Old Waitsburg city hall building on the market again

WAITSBURG – The old Waitsburg city hall is once again without a buyer after City Administrator Randy Hinchliffe announced the latest sale agreement fell through.

On March 6, the Waitsburg City Council approved the sale of old city hall building, located at 147 Main Street, and a 1.5 acre lot of city owned landed on East Sixth Street to former Waitsburg residents’ Dell and Cindy Steinhorst for $150,000.

Hinchliffe said the real estate deal fell through due to an access issue related to the additional land and not the old city hall building.

This issue of the old city hall building going back on the market will be addressed at Wednesday night’s city council meeting, which begins at 7 p.m.
