Oktoberfest is Oct. 12

PENDLETON – The Happy Canyon Arena will be the scene of Oktoberfest from 2-9 p.m. on Oct. 12. Organizers are already hard at work planning a long list of family-oriented activities to the gathering.

Live music will be provided by Brass Fire. The 10-piece band based in Hermiston plays jazz and pop music from the 1960s through the 1990s. Activities will include the beer hoist contest and Cerebella Winery’s grape-stomping contest. In addition, Pendleton Underground Tours will bring their Hill Meat mechanical bucking pig and the mobile Shamrock Bar to the event.

There will be a number of food trucks and other vendors. In addition there are raffle baskets ready to go home with the winning bidder. Also new this year imported German beer will be on tap.

The money raised by Oktoberfest benefits the Pendleton City Club, Kiwanis Club, Young Life, Rough Riders/Pendleton Ice Sport Association, and Panama educational tours.
