GRANT COUNTY – The public can expect construction to begin on curb ramps within city limits along U.S. Highway 26, between Dayville and John Day. The Oregon Department of Transportation reports the work will cause minimal delays to traffic. Even so, it is important to exercise caution, slow down and obey traffic signs through construction zones.

According to ODOT, this week the contractor is mobilizing onsite to begin the temporary sign installation and ADA ramp construction in Dayville. Asphalt and concrete cutting is expected to occur first in Dayville. The work will then move to Mt. Vernon, Canyon City, and John Day, in that order. The asphalt and concrete demolition will begin during the week of Oct 23rd.
