ODOT To begin piloting traffic through U.S. 26 closure tonight

PRINEVILLE — (Update from ODOT) U.S. 26 between Prineville and Mitchell: Crews are about to begin piloting traffic in one lane through the closure area between mileposts 40 and 52. The piloting will only last until 8 p.m., when a hard closure of this area will resume to allow fire crews and responders to safely work in the area. Pilot car operations are planned to resume at 6 a.m. tomorrow morning. Travelers should expect delays during pilot car operations and use an alternate route or change/delay plans overnight.
