JOHN DAY – ODOT’s Region 5 Public Affairs Coordinator and P.I.O. Vicki Moles recently informed Elkhorn Medi Group listeners that the Oregon Department of Transportation’s big curb ramp project is pretty much wrapped up here in Grant County:
“We finally got that finished. Everything is wrapped up…there is one exception. It’s the northeast corner at Canton Street [in John Day]. We had to move the fire hydrant, so, people may see some barricades around that. The fire hydrant is wrapped up right now for cold weather. Anyway, that’s the last thing that our crews need to do to get that project all complete.”
Curb ramps were improved along state highways through the towns of Dayville, Mt. Vernon, John Day, Canyon City, and Prairie City.
