ODOT lowers Market Road speed limits

MISSION – The Oregon Department of Transportation has reduced the speed limits in the area of Wildhorse Resort & Casino. Confederated Tribes of the Umatilla Indian Reservation Public Affairs Specialist Chris Aadland says slowing down is a wise move along Market Road.

“South of Mission Road to milepost 3 as you’re kind of coming over the crest of the hill has been reduced to 40 miles an hour,” he said. “And then, from there to Wildhorse Boulevard up by the casino it’s been reduced to 35 miles an hour.”

Aadland said it remains at 35 mph past the casino and Arrowhead Travel Plaza and across the interchange with Interstate 84.

“It goes back up to 55 on South Market Road,” he said. “There are no changes on North Mission Road until it you cross the railroad tracks when it goes up to 55.”
