JOHN DAY – According to ODFW’s Ryan Platte, the John Day Field Office will be doing deer flights in a helicopter beginning Monday, February 22nd. Platte said these will be intensive flights with the goal of getting statistical population estimates on the deer in our area.
The public may see the helicopter activity fairly low to the ground. The flights will begin on Monday and continue for about 3 weeks. If you have questions, call the ODFW John Day Field Office at (541) 575-1167.
