ENTERPRISE
– (Information provided by ODFW) Due to reduced fire activity and relaxed evacuation measures around the city of Troy, ODFW will re-open the Bartlett Bench portion of Wenaha Wildlife Area and the headquarters campground on Aug. 13.

Fire activity continues near other portions of the wildlife area including Eden Bench, Griz Flats campground and areas south of the Wenaha River. Out of an abundance of caution for public safety and fire fighter safety these areas will remain closed per OAR 635-008-0050 (1).

ODFW is working with the U.S. Forest Service and Oregon Department of Forestry to closely monitor the fire conditions. As these conditions improve ODFW will re-evaluate the continued need for a closure.
