JOHN DAY – The ODFW is putting on a hunter education class this spring. It starts on April 3rd and runs through April 15th from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. According to Deanna Maley with the John Day Field Office, to sign up folks can either log into their child’s ODFW account online (www.myodfw.com) or stop by the office in Canyon City.
The class is limited to 25 students. Maley noted that if you cannot make this class, there will be other opportunities. Youth wanting to hunt in Oregon must first obtain their Hunter’s Safety Card through one of these classes.
If anyone has questions, they can call Deanna Maley at 541-575-1167.
