BAKER COUNTY – This week, Oct 6-12, is National 4-H Week.  This week sees millions of youth, parents, volunteers and alumni come together to celebrate the many positive youth development opportunities offered by 4-H.  The theme for this year’s National 4-H Week is “Beyond Ready.”

According to information from Oregon State University Extension Service Baker County, “4-H is a youth development providing hands-on educational programs and experiences for youth ages 5-18 through a diverse portfolio of project areas and empowers over six million young people every year.  4-H equips youth with skills for the future while meeting them where they are today.

Becoming Beyond Ready encompasses opportunities and experiences, connections and discovery, shaping youth into their true and authentic selves.”
