PENDLETON – The Oregon Ballet Theatre school’s highest level of dancers will perform in Pendleton Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Vert Theater. Tickets are free, but they must be reserved in advance.
OBT is the largest professional ballet company in Oregon. It is rooted in the traditions of classical ballet. The school trains dancers from 4 years old to 80 years old through both professional and recreational classes. The company visiting Pendleton consists of 12 to 15 dancers as well as a guest artist from the main dance company.
The dancers will perform selections including The Sleeping Beauty – Aurora’s Wedding, Swan Lake, and I Napoletani (The Neapolitans).
Free tickets for the performance at the Vert are available at the Pendleton Chamber of Commerce. They are open today (Thursday) from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. and tomorrow (Friday) from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. and can be reached by calling 541-276-7411. They are closed over the weekend.
