Phyllis Ann Turner 81 died Sunday February 4, 2024, at her home in John Day. She was born to Ellis Elsworth Turner and June Fern (Woodcock) Turner on November 10, 1942. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 pm February 15, 2024, next to her parents at the Canyon City Cemetery. Pie and Coffee will be served at 2:00 pm in Mount Vernon at the Community Hall. Phyllis Loved all things beautiful especially if they were bright colored. She loved to take photos of anything she thought was beautiful. Her photo collection held many pictures of flowers. She moved to Valley View Assisted living and loved the independence it gave her and loved to join all the activities they did there. Her apartment was filled with many ceramic figures she painted and puzzles she helped put together. She loved to share photos with her cousin Ivy of her children and visit whenever she could in Bend. She is preceded in death by her parents Fern and Ellis Turner, grandnephew Scott Lee and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. She is survived by one brother Duane (Annie Smith) Turner of Mount Vernon, Nieces LaVonne (Tom) Griffin-Valade of Portland, Jan (Elmer) Dickens of Mount Vernon, Nephews Rick (Gwen) Valade of Dayville, Tracy (Lisa) Valade of La Grande, and Cody Turner of Mount Vernon. Numerous Great Nieces and Nephews and Great-Great Nieces and Nephews. Phyllis Ann Turner was loved by many and will surely be missed by all.
