Margaret Estella Schatz (Tout) passed away on Wednesday, March 6. She died with her family at her bedside. She would have been 77 on March 14th, 2024. Margaret was a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her grandchildren were such an important part of her life. Margaret was a much-loved teaching assistant and speech technician in the Seneca school for 30 years. Many of the kids whose lives she touched would return years later to tell Mrs. Schatz how much her care and love for them made a difference in their lives. She retired in 2009. Margaret is preceded in death by her parents, Bridget Quinn Tout and Floyd Tout, and her brother, Perry Tout. She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Keith Schatz; her daughters, Sidra Quinn, and Amy Schatz; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren; as well as her sisters, Eileen Pierce, Patty Tout, and Mary Carr. To honor Margaret’s memory and life, the family is holding a service and celebration of life at St. Andrews Catholic Cemetery in Canyon City on Sunday, March 17th, at 12:00 PM.
