Irene June Miller, 79, of La Grande, passed away on Monday, January 19, 2026. A Viewing will be held at Loveland Funeral Chapel on Friday, January 30, 2026 at 1:00pm – 1:45pm and the Funeral Service will begin at 2:00pm. Casual dress is preferred by the family.
Irene was born August 10, 1946, in Enterprise Oregon to Darrel and Georgia Tucker Lampkins. She spent most of her life in the Grande Ronde Valley, with a short time spent in Wallowa County. Irene attended Cove High School with her sister Judy. After graduation, she married Dallas Miller and they raised three wonderful daughters. Irene worked for a time at Cove Schools. She loved spending time with family and friends.
Irene is survived by her daughters – Denise (Martine) Mills of Cove, Debbie (Robert) Waltenburg of Dayville, and Diana Fair of Redmond. She is also survived by her sister, Judy Steele; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
