Edith Ann Carney, born April 10, 1941, in Kansas City, Missouri, USA, passed away on March 13, 2024, in Baker City, Oregon. Edith was raised by Tom Richerson and Marjorie Richerson. After graduating high school, she embarked on a career in adult health care. Edith had a passion for genealogy, spending many hours researching her family tree. She found joy in uncovering her roots and preserving her family’s history for future generations. She was a mother to five children: Candius Bucher, Donald Proffit, Ronald Proffit, Jerry Proffit, and Kenneth Proffit. She is survived by her children, grandchildren, and many other family members. Edith is preceded in death by her mother and father, her husband Robert Carney, Granddaughters Christy Neal and Kimberly Proffit, and Great-Granddaughter Tilayna Calhoon.
