Celebrating Life
Delores Ann (Dukes) Bagett was born in DeRidder, Louisiana on July 7th, 1938 to Annie Mae (Miller) and Clifford Dukes. She was the eldest of four siblings.
In Deloresโ early teenage years, the Dukes family settled in Klamath Falls, Oregon, where she attended Klamath Union High School. During her sophomore year she met the love of her life, Robert (Bob) Bagett. Bob once recalled the first thing he noticed about Delores was her beautiful, radiant smile. The two were married on July 25th, 1957 and built a loving family with the births of their two children, Mark (1958) and Vicki (1959).
Her work experience began as a teenager, employed by Dairy Queen in DeRidder and later in Klamath Falls. Also in her teen years, Delores worked as a model for various agencies and was featured in local advertisements. As life continued, she would find herself working in the retail sales industry, as a restaurant hostess, and as a bank teller at a number of Grant County banks.
She had unwavering compassion for her loved ones, and an enthusiastic enjoyment for life that was contagious to everyone around her. Her greatest joys include moments spent with her husband, beloved family members, and friendsโat gatherings like picnics, dinners, celebrations, church functions, and around the bridge table. She loved traveling, both domestic and abroad. Delores took great pride in her flower gardens and enjoyed tending to them. She also enjoyed the good old-fashioned evening drive with her honey. She was a wonderful lady who was the definition of class, putting her best foot forward with each step, and she will be greatly missed.
Delores is survived by her loving husband, Bob Bagett; her son, Mark Bagett (Brenda); her daughter, Vicki Gleich (David); her sister, Jacque Lucht (James); five grandchildrenโHeather, Mindy, Logan, Kelsiann, and Zane; five great-grandchildrenโKira, Audrey, Bridger, Roslyn, and Emmett; two great-great-grandchildrenโSadie and Aria; and many nieces and nephews whom she loved so much.
She is preceded in death by her mother and father, Annie Mae and Clifford Dukes; and her brothers Gordon โShortyโ and Bobby Dukes.
