NYSSA — The Nyssa Food Pantry is working on getting their cupboards stocked for summer vacation. The Nyssa Public Library Board is spearheading efforts to collect “kid-friendly food” through the end of the school year.

From April 15th through May 31st, the Kid-Friendly Food Drive will collect non-perishable food items that are easy for kids to fix. The Library Board listed things like mac-n-cheese, soups, crackers, hamburger helper, PB&J ingredients, ramen, canned tuna & chicken, toaster pastries, flavored water packets, and more. A collection box is located inside the Nyssa Public Library, and the book drop box will suffice if the library is closed. Monetary donations will be accepted as well.

Anyone with questions can call Nyssa Public Library at 541-372-2978.
