NYSSA — The Nyssa Police Department have issued notice that there have been an increased number of dogs on the loose in town within the last few weeks. The department ask the public to keep their animals secured and well cared for. In addition to the issues it can cause in town, the winter weather makes it dangerous for the animals themselves.

As a reminder, dogs who live in the city of Nyssa must be properly registered and tagged, which can help officers return them if they are found roaming. Nyssa Police informed the public that pet licensing is, “currently $15.00 per dog until the end of this month, and then it goes up to $30.00.”
