NYSSA, OR – Members of the Nyssa Police Department recently took part in a procession through the town of Nyssa. This procession was part of a larger showing of veterans and everyday American’s who ride their motorcycles each summer to honor and pay tribute to America’s fallen service members. This group is called Tribute to Fallen Soldiers.

Chief Rau with the Nyssa Police Department said, via social media, that the department was truly blessed to be able to lead such an important procession.
Rau also noted that they are thankful to Malheur County Sheriff Brian Wolfe and his team for sharing the experience with them, along with representatives of the Oregon State Police.
Those agencies were able to coordinate with Idaho law enforcement and turned the procession over to a Lt. from the Canyon County Sheriff’s Office and a Parma Police Department Officer to continue the escort of the torch.
