NYSSA — A record-breaking Nyssa athlete is at it again! Last spring, Diego Trinidad broke the Nyssa High School 800M event record with a time of 1:57.78, beating a 30-year record. At the first part of the school year, Diego got to add his name onto the record board at the school. Diego didn’t know at the time that he’d be back to add his name again.
On September 30th, Nyssa High School reported that Trinidad had broken another record, this time in the 5000M Cross Country event. The school wrote, “Another year, another record! Diego T set a new 5000m Cross Country record of 15:42.60, breaking a mark that had stood since 2008. Congratulations on another school record, Diego!”
