Nyssa firefighters recognized at annual awards ceremony

NYSAA — It has been quite the year for firefighters in Nyssa. The Nyssa Fire Department recently held their annual awards ceremony and recognized some key players within the department.

The 2025 Nyssa Firefighter of the Year honor was bestowed upon Tyler Chamberlain. Andres Ramirez was awarded 2025 Rookie Firefighter of the Year, and Bailey Frasch and Anthony Valdivia were recognized for their 10 years of service. In addition, Dusty Simpson received the 2025 City of Nyssa Volunteer Award.

Nyssa Fire Department stated, “A great time was also celebrated at Country Dream, an amazing venue.”
