NYSSA — Just in time for wildland fire season, the Nyssa Fire Department has announced their new brush rig will soon be ready for deployment. The rig, known as “Brush 454”, is reportedly able to haul 800 gallons of water and is equipped with a booster line and cross-lay. The pump is powered by a Honda V-Twin engine which makes it “ready for immediate action,” according to department officials.

NFD stated, “Nyssa Fire extends its gratitude to the Rural Board for making the brush 454 a reality.”
