PRAIRIE CITY/LONG CREEK – A warm front will lift north Thursday and stall over the region into Friday. This will produce some substantial snowfall over the Southern Blue Mountains and the Ochoco-John Day Highlands. The National Weather Service issued a Winter Storm Watch Thursday afternoon through Friday evening. The map shows John Day could receive 6 to 8 inches of snow.
