Not so fast, spring burning season doesn’t start until April 1

LA GRANDE – Not so fast… Spring yard debris burning season doesn’t begin until April 1st. If you are a La Grande resident, permits will be issued by phone for the Spring Burning Season starting April 1st.
Call La Grande Fire District at 541 963 3123. They will issue your permit over the phone, and you’ll be good to go.
The city says, until then rake, gather, and pile until your hearts content.
