Northeastern Oregon Delegation secures funding for projects

EASTERN OREGON – (Information provided by the Oregon Legislature)  The legislature passed funding for critical projects around the region. The legislative delegation from North East Oregon worked together to secure money for some of the most important projects in the region with a focus on infrastructure, public safety, mental health, and economic development.

“I am very pleased with the results of our Northeastern Oregon delegation’s efforts” Senator Bill Hansell stated. “A lot of important projects got funded, I am really proud of how we worked as a team to get it done.”

The following projects were funded by the legislature:

  • Umatilla County Jail Expansion/Mental Health Facility – $1,785,000
  • East Umatilla Fire & Rescue, New Fire Station – Total: $4,900,000
  • Community Counseling Solutions for Boardman – $1,400,000
  • City of Umatilla for Minority Entrepreneurial Development Center – $1,800,000
  • Wasco County for the Columbia Gorge Resolution Center – $4,500,000
  • Port of Morrow for a Workforce Center – $4,300,000
  • District 57 Community Development Fund at the Port of Morrow – $2,000,000
  • City of Elgin Wastewater Collection System – $2,640,125
  • City of Echo Water System improvements – $5,530,000
  • City of Echo wastewater system improvements – $1,500,000
  • City of Arlington Columbia River Municipal Pump Station – $250,000
  • City of Arlington Wastewater facilities plan – $65,000
  • Maxville Heritage Interpretive Center – $750,000
  • Josephy Center for Arts and Culture – $600,000
  • Columbia River – Umatilla Solutions Task Force – $500,000
  • Umatilla County for the Ordinance Project – $6,000,000
  • Wallowa Lake Dam – $14,000,000
  • Unmanned Aerial Vehicle at Boardman – $15,000,000
