Northeast Oregon counties hosting public tests for ballot tally systems

NORTHEAST OREGON – In accordance with state laws ORS 254.235 and ORS 254.525, Oregon County Clerk’s offices are hosting public tests of their ballot tally systems leading up to the November election. For those in Northeast Oregon counties interested in seeing firsthand how their ballots will be tallied, Union, Baker, and Wallowa Counties will be hosting their own tests over the next week.

Union County’s ballot tally is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 29, at the county Clerk’s Office, 1001 4th St, Ste D, in La Grande. Observers are asked to arrive prior to ten a.m.

Wallowa County hosted an initial test on October 22 and will host a second test at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, October 24, at the Wallowa County Courthouse, 101 S River Street, in Enterprise.

Baker County will host their test on Tuesday, October 29, at the County Clerk’s Office, 1995 Third Street, Suite 150, in Baker City.
