Northeast Oregon Area Health Education Center receives over $363,000 for new program staff

LA GRANDE – The M.J. Murdock Charitable Trust, a nonprofit foundation based in the Pacific Northwest, recently announced the recipients of its 2025 summer grants program. In total, 34 nonprofits across Oregon will receive a combined $6,302,500. Locally, one Eastern Oregon nonprofit made the list. 

The Northeast Oregon Area Health Education Center, based in La Grande, will receive $363,500 dollars as part of the Education and Leadership Development category. The funds will go toward new program staff to, as written in the grant report, “increase health career pathways seekers, staffing hard-to-reach rural regions.
