Nominations open for La Grande spring beautification awards

LA GRANDE – Spring is here, and that means both spring cleaning and spring beautifying. For La Grande residents that have a particularly pleasant yard or business façade in mind, the City of La Grande Community Landscape and Forestry Commission is once again accepting nominations for the Spring Beautification Awards. Residents are encouraged to submit nominations of particularly well maintained, aesthetically pleasing, or otherwise smartly designed landscapes for local homes and businesses. As written by La Grande Parks and Recreation:
“The Community Landscape and Forestry Commission recognizes efforts to maintain and improve the beauty of La Grande’s environment through exemplary maintenance and design of landscapes and the community forest. Seasonal awards are given to residential and commercial properties that have been carefully landscaped and attract the viewer.”
The deadline for this year’s spring nominations is May 15. The nomination submission form can be found online here.
