Nominations for Outstanding teachers

EASTERN OREGON – Nominations for outstanding teacher can be submitted.  The regional winners will receive a $500 award in May 2021 and move a step closer to being named the 2022 Oregon Teacher of the Year.  

The Oregon Department of Education, in partnership with the Oregon Lottery, presented the 2021’s Regional Teachers of the Year recently. Each teacher receives a $500 award.  JD Cant, of Imbler High School was named recently for regional teacher of the year.  Cant said, “It is our collective purpose to inculcate and foster a culture where students are connected, valued, and resilient to withstand all that life will bring them on their journey.”
