NYSSA, OR – The Nyssa City Council this week met and unanimously approved Nyssa City Manager Maret to sign a lease agreement to bring the Ani-Care Dog Shelter to Nyssa. Nyssa City Police Chief Rau says that the city is “excited for them to make the move as we have always appreciated their efforts to recover and re home dogs within our area. With COVID restrictions limiting their staffing levels both Malheur County and the City of Nyssa have always supported them.”

Ani-Care is a non-profit, no-kill dog shelter, currently located in Ontario, dedicated to finding lost dogs’ families or finding them new forever homes.
