WALLA WALLA — A Walla Walla Public Schools bus clipped a parked vehicle Friday morning, but officials reported no injuries in the minor collision.
The accident occurred at the intersection of Wilbur Avenue and Reser Road when the bus struck the front end of a stationary vehicle while making a turn, according to a school district news release.
A replacement bus was dispatched to the scene to collect the students, who were then safely transported to Garrison Middle School and Walla Walla High School.
District officials said Transportation Department staff are in the process of contacting the families of all students who were on board at the time of the incident.
Authorities thanked local motorists for exercising caution near the intersection while crews cleared the scene. The district did not release the name of the bus driver or the extent of the damage to the parked vehicle.
