BAKER CITY – Baker City Firefighters (BCFD) responded to a structural fire on Walnut Street in Baker City Monday evening around 8pm. According to BCFD “crews arrived to find a single wide manufactured home with significant fire from the majority of the structure. Crews knocked down the main body of the fire in 16 minutes and was called out at 930 pm.“
The cause of the fire is being listed as undetermined due to damage and pre-existing condition.
The department reports that seven members of Baker City Fire Dept were assisted by two members of Baker Rural Fire District. There were no reports of any injuries to firefighters or the public.
Fire Operations were assisted by city and county law enforcement, OTEC, and Cascade Natural Gas.
