JOHN DAY – According to information from the Oregon Department of Transportation, construction has been going on during the night at the traffic light intersection in downtown John Day. The work started Tuesday night and is being done at the intersection of U.S. 26/Main Street and U.S. 395/ Canyon Boulevard between 6 p.m. and 7 a.m.
Work will resume at 6 p.m. Wednesday evening. According to ODOT, the contractor is trenching to install electrical conduit in John Day. Travelers can expect flaggers and possible lane closures. Work will pause in John Day during the week of the Grant County Fair and Rodeo.
