PENDLETON – The Blue Mountain Community College Rodeo Boosters are getting ready for the National Rodeo Finals. Although the NFR is already underway, the event that will give a boost to the rodeo teams will be Saturday.
“Our mission as volunteers is to raise funds through fundraisers,” Boosters President Rebecca Manning said. “This is one of our biggest fundraisers.”
Manning says the evening will feature more than just rodeo action from Las Vegas. There will be drawings, an auction, music, and other activities. She said the event is family friendly. Hors d’oeuvres will be served. It’s also a chance to wear Western clothing and even walk the red carpet for those who didn’t make it to Las Vegas this year.
The NFR Watch Party will be in the Roy Raley Room at the Pendleton Round-Up Grounds. Doors will open at 4 p.m. Tickets may be purchased online at $25 for adults and $15 for children. They can also be bought at the door, but they cost $5 more. To purchase in advance go to the BMCC Rodeo Boosters Facebook page for the link.
