LAS VEGAS – Both Oregon cowboys in the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo finished with more cash Thursday.
Bull rider T.J. Gray ended the night in first place for the second day in a row. The cowboy from Dairy scored 90.75 on Doze You Don’t. He picked up $36,668. Gray is now third in the average at the NFR. He stands fifth in the world for his work this season.
Steer wrestler Jesse Brown finished second with a time of four seconds. Brown, from Baker City, won $28,980. That puts him sixth in the average. In world standings, he ranks third.
The NFR continues through Saturday at the Thomas & Mack Arena in Las Vegas.
