MALHEUR COUNTY — The Malheur County Sheriff’s Office Search and Rescue team just acquired a nifty new piece of gear that will help during challenging searches. Malheur County SAR reports the group recently purchased an InfiRay M6T thermal camera. The team conducted a training with the new equipment on Thursday. The camera will provide thermal imaging during searches in low or no daylight.
The Malheur County Search and Rescue Team are also on the hunt for members. Anyone interested in joining SAR is encouraged to contact the Malheur County Sheriff’s Office at (541) 473-5126.
