New principal ready for first day

LA GRANDE – Dawn Guentert has joined the La Grande School District as new principal at Greenwood Elementary and is excited for the opening day of school. Guentert coming from the Umatilla School District says she is happy to have all the students in school every day. Guentert will be supporting the staff in following safety protocols to help prevent COVID outbreaks. Gurentert said, “Our students, families, and staff need a sense of normalcy this school year and my vision is to provide that in every way possible.
