New John Day Budget Committee members to be appointed

JOHN DAY – Listeners got an update on the City of John Day Friday morning for KJDY’s Coffee Time. John Day City Manager Melissa Bethel announced that appointments for the city’s budget committee will be at their next meeting on Tuesday, the 14th. Bethel said they have plenty of applicants for the open positions:
“We asked for people to step up and volunteer their time to do this important task, and we had ten people submit applications. I am so excited. It just goes to show the heart of the town, and [I’m] so appreciative. We’ll have a good budget committee no matter who council picks. All of them are uniquely qualified.”
The meeting will begin at 6:30 p.m. at the John Day Fire Hall on Tuesday. The full agenda, along with the meeting packet, is available for download at cityofjohnday.com.
