New housing coming to Prairie City

PRAIRIE CITY – Prairie City Mayor Scott Officer was in the newsroom a couple of weeks ago, and shared some information regarding more housing in Prairie City:

“Can’t talk too much to the details, but we’ve got some new homes getting ready to be built. Hopefully we’re going to get everything out of the way within the next couple of weeks with all of our city planning and stuff.

We have an individual that wants to put in four houses and a duplex—never been built—it’s not replacing other houses. It’s going to be brand new housing in Prairie City coming soon.”

Mayor Officer also said he doesn’t know if the plans for the housing include selling or renting. He assured listeners that he’d keep us updated as more information comes in and as details can be released.
