PENDLETON – A staffing shortage delayed Pendleton Police Chief Chuck Byram’s plan to promote Officer Chase Addleman to detective and put him in charge of property crimes last fall. The chief said he was finally able to move forward with that plan and Addleman is learning the ropes.
“Every day is going to be a new day for him,” Byram said. “He’s going to have to get used to the pace and used to working as a detective now, where he has to take his time to really dive into an individual case and make sure that we can get a successful prosecution.”
Byram is confident that all those things will happen.
“I’m confident in his abilities and I’m confident in his supervision,” Byram said. “I’m excited to see where this goes and I really believe it’s going to have a positive impact on our community.”
