COLORADO SPRINGS โ (News release from the PRCA) The Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association and Women’s Professional Rodeo Association announced Wednesday, Nov. 26, the 2025 National Finals Breakaway Roping will take place Dec. 22-23, at the Cowtown Coliseum in Fort Worth, Texas.
It marks the first time the NFBR will take place in Texas since the inaugural event at Globe Life Field in Arlington in 2020. The event will showcase the Top 15 breakaway ropers competing over 10 rounds โ 5 rounds each day โ with all competitors running in every round.
Tickets for the event will go on sale to the public on Wednesday, Dec. 3. More information on ticket pricing, starting time and where to buy will be released once details are confirmed.
The NFBR was originally scheduled to take place Dec. 2-3, at the South Point Arena in Las Vegas but was postponed out of an abundance of caution and due to the Nov. 21 stringent biosecurity guidelines.
The PRCA, WPRA and Cowtown Coliseum are continuing to monitor the EHV/EHM outbreak and are taking measures designed to protect the wellbeing of all participating horses, while upholding the highest standards of biosecurity and animal care to be able to safely host the event. Per Cowtown Coliseum, if the EHV/EHM outbreak is not contained, according to state and local animal welfare, then the event will not be held.
